Carrie Gosnell Davis, 80, of Medford Road, Candler, died Wednesday, October 27, 1999, at the Hospice Solace Center.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Claude E. and Hannah Rector Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Davis, who died in 1992. She was a member of Glady Baptist Church.
Mrs. Davis is survived by a son, Carroll Dean 'Buck' Davis of Candler; two sisters, Emma Dean Hooper of Rochester, NY and Cora Bell Warren of Candler.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Charles Sprinkle officiating.
Her family has requested no visitation, however, her body will be at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue, until one hour prior to service time.
