  12. My deepest sympathy to this family. Mr. Stokes was my first manager as assistant manager when I worked for Kmart in Asheville NC at the tunnell road store. He helped me get a loan from the bank to by furniture back in 1983-84. This was my first job after graduating from the University of Georgia. I remember I would make that loan payment before all else because I did not want to disappoint Mr. Stokes. I always appreciated his guidance. I learned a lot working with him. RIP Mr. Stokes and thanks for helping me get started. May God bless this Family.

  15. Janice and family. I was so saddened to here of Carroll’s passing. Time goes so fast. I remember the last time I saw him at the Home Depot, several years ago I.got to speak there in the store. We spoke about our old work place, Kmart. I really enjoyed working with him . He always treated with respect.. I use to kid him about leaning on the washers and dryers with the assistants and their inventory books. After quitting and returning a couple months later, he promoted me appliance manager. Over the years we had a lot of conversations of various topics which many included , church, becoming a Christian and living for God.. He will truly be missed. I know he is celebrating with Jesus and those gone before us. You all are in my prayers and I ask God to shower you all with His love comfort and peace.
