Catherine Ddettweiler, 89, of 133 Logan Avenue, Asheville, died Monday, January 10, 2000, at her home.

Mrs. Dettweiler was a native of Nokesville, NC, and was a daughter of the late Everett and Ada Miller Forrester. She was married to the late Elder Wilbur B. Dettweiller and was mothe rof the late Edward, Harold, and Roy.

She was a member of the Church of God, 107 State Street, Asheville.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Ball and her husband Charles; two sons, Wilbur F. "Junior" Dettweiler and his wife Lois, and Daniel L. Dettweiller; a daughter-in-law, Mary Dettweiler; two foster daughters, Joan Davis and Linda Bodkin; a brother, Raymond Forrester; 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm Wednesday, January 12, in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Brothers Bryant Owen, W.C. Godfrey and Robin Thames officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Nokesville, VA.

Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
