Catherine Hare Huntsinger

A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. Huntsinger was a daughter of the late James Hare and Minnie Belle Ownsbey Hare and the wife of the late J.A. Huntsinger, who died in 1983. She was also predeceased by a son, Robert Huntsinger.
Mrs. Huntsinger was a retired textile worker with Terry Enterprises, a member of Sunny View Baptist Church and an avid gardener.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana Brow of Hendersonville; two sisters, Azalee Huntsinger of Asheville and Josephine Walker of Fairview; three brothers, Rev. Donald Hare, Arnold Hare and James Hare, all of Asheville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM in New Salem Cemetery conducted by Rev. Donald Hare. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.

Diana, I met your mother while working on the Hare family tree. Although I had not known her long I will miss her greatly. She was a fine lady and I consider it an honor to have had her for a friend.

Catherine was one of my favorite first cousins and I am so sorry to hear about her death. She was a very sweet and special person and will be greatly missed. To all of her family, God bless you and help you through this time of grief. Just look to Him for your strength for He is able to help you and He will give you strength and courage. Aunt Cathrine..oh how I miss you…you meant so much to me…It has been several years now since you went home and it seems just like yesterday…I wish Hannah and Matthew could of met you…I know they would of loved you…some day we’ll be together NEVER to seperate again..oh what a day that will be …I love you..see you soon!!!
