Catherine Alandt "Katie" Bollman, 90, of Leicester, died on Monday, May 1, 2017, at her residence.
A native of Indianapolis, IN, Catherine was the daughter of the late August A. and Margaret Kiefer Alandt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Bollman.
Katie brought color to the world through her expressions in several mediums, including pottery and fiber.
Mrs. Bollman is survived by her children, Christine A. Maras (John), Charles A. Bollman (Cynthia), Daniel S. Bollman (Claire) and Andrea M. Hansbury (Bud); 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, celebrated by the Very Rev. Wilbur N. Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorials be made to the Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, Attn: Fr. Scott Donahue, 1140 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL, 60607.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
