Mrs. Cauble was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Willard B. and Leota Freeman Reed. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Myrna Rae Wilson in 1988. She was retired from Alexander News Co. and was a member of Reynolds Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Hinchee of Roanoke, VA; one son Donald Cauble of Asheville; one sister, Margie Roberts of Asheville; one brother, Larry Reed of Bean Station, TN; four grandchildren, Jim L. Wilson, Kim Wilson, Jason McConnell and Miranda McConnell; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Ashlyn Johnson, and Cheyanne McConnell.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. H.L. Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.

It’s been a long time since I saw you last. I just want you to know how very sorry I am for the loss of your mother – she was a wonderful lady and I will never forget the times I spent with both you and her when we were in school.
