Mary Catherine Baumann Hyatt, 49, of 700 Case Cove Road, Candler, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at her home.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of Mary Shipwash Baumann of Asheville and the late Hector G. Baumann. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Michael Hyatt, who died in 2002 and by a sister, Roberta Lee Baumann. Mrs. Hyatt was a nurse at the Laurels of Greeentree Ridge and attended Biltmore United Methodist Church but was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
In addition to her mother, she is urvived by her fiance, Jim Myers of Fairview; a sister, Debbie Truempy and her husband Greg of Asheville and a niece, Dana Truempy of Asheville.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Edwin Olson officiating. Her family will receive friends following the service.

CATHY WAS A GREAT NURSE I WORKED WITH HER AT THE SUMMIT, SHE WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP THE RESIDENTS AND OTHER EMPLOYEES.
SHE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY.
