Voyal Chandler Clement, Jr., 76, of Swannanoa, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014. A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Voyal Chandler Clement and Ila Kirkpatrick Clement. Mr. Clement was a member of Swannanoa United Methodist Church. He is survived by three sisters, Ellen C. MacBryde, of Fairview, Rose Foster, of Greensboro, and Gail Gardner, of Greensboro; and dear friends Margaret and Ken Roberts, of Swannanoa. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cindy Arnold and the Rev. H. D. Houck officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Swannanoa United Methodist Church, 216 Whitson Ave., Swannanoa, NC 28778.

  3. I am so sorry for your loss. The pain of death can be overwhelming no matter the age. The Bible provides comfort during difficult times. We are promised at 1 Corinthians 15:26 that,very soon now, ‘death will be brought to nothing’. Then we have the prospect of being reunited with our loved one right here on Earth (John 5:28,29) without any wickedness (Psalms 37: 10,11). I hope this brings you comfort and hope.
