Charles Eugene Clark, 43, of 34 Queen Rd., Candler, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Clark, a native of Asheville, was a son of the late Eugene Clark and Elizabeth Ball Hutchison. A 1983 graduate of Enka High School, Mr. Clark worked as a manager at Men’s Wearhouse. He enjoyed the outdoors, and especially liked working in his yard. He was a loving father and a friend to all. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Donna Shoemaker Clark, of Candler; daughter, Shelby Clark, of Candler; son, Tyler Clark, of Candler; sister, Anna Elliott, of Candler; brother, Dennis “Punkin” Clark and wife Jackie of Asheville; step-father, Bruce Hutchison, of Candler; and nieces and nephews, Daniel Clark and Marybeth Clark, Rebecca Elliott and Matthew Elliott, and Brandon Blankenship. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Dr. Keith Hutchinson officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Carr, Larry Grant, Andy Randalls, Ty Edwards, David Massie, and Chris Shaunfield. Junior pallbearers will be Jacob and Jared Randalls. His family will receive friends 7-9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Andy and Shirrell Randalls, 2 Shooting Star Lane, off of Lower Glady Fork Rd., in Candler. We met him through his work and he was a great individual and one we were proud to call a friend. He always had a smile on his face and a funny story to tell. He will truly be missed.     I know how hard thing are for you at this time.I just went though it with the passing of my father in May.
    I just cant believe it! You and Charles were my first 2 friends at Wilsonart back in the late 80’s we really had alot of good laughs working Midnights. Please know I’m sorry to hear of your loss. I havent seen you guys since the State Fair was here a few years ago. He always had A smile.

    I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Father. He was such a loving parent. I will never forget how hard it was for him and your Mother to drop you off in that Kindergarten room the first few weeks and have to say goodby for the day.
