Charles O. Harvey

Mr. Harvey was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late William Harry and Bessie Bryson Harvey. He was married to Sara Mildred Justice Harvey who died in 1993. He was a Navy veteran of WW II and was a member of VFW Post 891 and the PT Boats Association. He was a self employed brick and block mason and was a member and treasurer for 42 years of the National Brick Layers Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Odum and two sons, Bill Harvey and Ronald Harvey, all of Asheville; three grandchildren, Chuck Harvey, Eric Harvey and Stephanie Odum, all of Asheville; and three sisters, Myrtle LaTour of Pensacola, FL, and Ruby Blankenship and June Russell of Asheville.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue with the Rev. Enoch Ball, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah View Memorial Park.

His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
