Charles Ralph Murphy

Mr. Murphy was the son of the late Ralph and Shirley Murphy. He was a former employee of Northrop Carolina, Inc. and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

His family includes his wife, Pauline Shell Murphy; two daughters, Tracy Murphy-Lanning of Arden and Angie Brown and her husband Evan of Leicester; one son, David Murphy and his wife Margot of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Jacob and Kaitlin Murphy, Zachary Lanning and Kristen Revis; one sister, Barbara Jean Hopkins and her husband Harold of Skyland.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Michael Scroggs and Lawrence Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 7 - 9 pm Friday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence.
