Charlotte B. Schofield

Charlotte B. Schofield, 88, of Asheville, died Thursday, January 6, 2011. A native of Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Cecilia Michel Brinkman and wife of the late William John Schofield who died in 2006. She was a retired elementary school teacher at St. Mary of the Lake in Gary, Indiana. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Whitney and her husband, Richard, of Asheville; two sons, Bruce Schofield and his wife, Pam, of Flower Mound, Texas and Robert Schofield and his wife, Darlene, of Morton Grove, Illinois; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be said at 2:00 pm Saturday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Interment will be at a date and time to be rescheduled at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
