Charlotte “Jean” Beachboard, 86, of Asheville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2021. She was born in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Clyde Oliver “Beef” Capps, Sr. and Edith Swink Capps. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Forest I. J. Beachboard; a brother, Clyde Oliver “Bud” Capps, Jr.; a daughter, Pamela Beachboard; and a grandson.

She is survived by three children, a daughter, Pat Beachboard, and two sons, David (Kay) Beachboard and Jay (Jennifer) Beachboard, all from Asheville, NC. She has six grandchildren, Jeremy Beachboard (Phil Smith), Marshall Beachboard, Ryan Jay Viruet, Jordan Beachboard, Dawson Shuemake, and Abbey Shuemake. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Jean was loving and kind. She welcomed everyone into her home. Her love for friends and family will always be remembered. She was a faithful Christian and always loved a good gospel singing.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Edwards and the staff at Solace.

A graveside service for Mrs. Beachboard will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 22 at Woodlawn Cemetery.

For those wishing to pay their respects, Mrs. Beachboard will lie in repose at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road.
