China Li Gomez

China Li Gomez, 44, born on September 6, 1977, passed peacefully with her children by her side following a battle with breast cancer on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

China leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Marley Jai; a son, Taj Silvey; mother, Susan Teeple; sisters, Santana Gomez and Angel Gomez; brothers, Justin and Ed; grandmother Helen Teeple; and numerous family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Gomez, Sr.

China was the owner/operator of Lady Jane’s Elixirs. She participated in many pop ups around town. She was very creative, and artistic. She could not pass by a baby without commenting about how cute they were.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.

The family would like to express gratitude to Sunrise Baptist Church and Liberty Baptist Church for their thoughtfulness during China’s illness.
