Christine King Woody

Mrs. Woody was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late Ennis Ervin King and Phoebe Jones King.  She was a retired clerk with the Veterans Medical Center in Oteen and was a twenty-two gallon donor with the American Red Cross.

Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Cole of Fletcher and Beth Stanton of Asheville; one son, James E. Woody of Inman, SC; four sisters, Emagene Peek of Campobello, SC, Edna King of Skyland, Eva Mae Wilson of Hendersonville, Dottie King of Bristol, VA, and nine grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, September 10, 1999 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, with the Reverend Ann Marie Montgomery officiaing.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
