  22. I will always remember working with Cindy and what a great time we always had. She was always kind to me and nicknamed me ‘Vanner’ and called me that every time she saw me. We had a girls night out on the town in Asheville that was so much fun, and remember the weekend we came to your house in Candler for dinner, and the times we played music together. She was always a part of that time in our lives. I always thought she was just beautiful inside and out and my heart is broken. My love to you Doug and all the family.

  23. My wife and I met Cindy and Doug shortly after they moved to Tn., and I don’t think I have ever met anyone with a more courageous sole. As her condition progressed she became stronger and we never once heard her complain. Her attitude was upbeat and her smiles continued. I believe the poem ‘Invictus’ was meant for her when it refers to courage.
    We miss you Cindy.

  31. Hey Doug,

Thank you for being the supervisor you were for …me…You don’t have to remember me in your Arvato experience…I really don’t believe I ever met your wife. I think I might have remembered her beautiful soul, by all accounts. What I want to tell you is what a special person you were for me at that time at Arvato, and while, that time is long past, and you and I have both had many different paths leading us….I hope your journey has been lovely and that you can put the past behind and move on….I know I have had to do that many times in my life as well…I hope your life is joyful now, this date being for me Feb. 22 2020…The significant for me here…is that I remember you as a very kind soul for me….thank you!
