  1. I want to send my prayers to your family. Rev. 21:4 tells of a grand future with our loved ones again. May god be with you.

  2. More than l000 characters would be required to describe all the funny and loving ways our friend Clara gave our family over 30 years. We LOVE her mightily and admire her, very, very, very much….

  3. Clara was a ‘trooper’! She was so sick but kept going with that smile. I feel honored to have known Clara. She was a good person to all!

‘Rest eternal, grant to Clara, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her. Amen.’

  4. Thank you for everything you’ve done for your community, county, state and country ! You will be missed.

  5. Everyone that knew Clara was touched by her positive, keep-going attitude, her extreme independence, laughter and caring. As her hairdresser for 42 years she was adamant that keeping oneself beautiful was a key to feeling good. Her passion for preserving the history and upkeep of the Cane Creek Cemetery is a worthwhile for a donation I see in her memorial. My sympathies to her family.
Loved her like a second mother,

  6. Clara was a sweet lady we met late in life, she was a special cousin, I always enjoyed being with her. She will be missed.

  7. Many thanks to a great lady, a stalwart member of the community and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. May she rest in peace, and may we continue to be inspired by her example.

  8. Miss Clara, I’ll miss seeing you! It’s been my pleasure knowing and assisting you. Here’s one last ‘squeeze’to send you on your way! May God keep you on your journey…..

  11. Dear Aunt Clara,
You will be missed by our family very much! We enjoyed getting to know you and the memories we made with you on our visits. We will see you soon! We love you! Patrick, Sherry, Victoria, Makayla, Caleb, and Isabella Hammond.

  12. I have known Clara all my life (42 years) and I loved her very much. She was my grandmother’s (Jean Cooksey) best friend for over 50 years. I am so grateful for the wonderful childhood memories I have of her. I always enjoyed going to her house with my grandmother and family. Nanny died in 1987 and I reconnected with Clara a few years ago. We would visit when I was in NC and I enjoyed our visits so much. She was smart, funny, creative, and caring. Clara was special. If you knew her, you knew that. She had some of the best stories and I sure did enjoy hearing them. I admired and adored her. I spoke with her last month and was looking forward to seeing her this week. I just found out today that she had passed. It was very sad news. I will miss her. I am glad she is at peace now and hope she and my grandmother are together having fun again. Love you,Clara.
