CLARA JONES PLEMMONS OLD FORT – Clara Jones Plemmons, 89, of Old Fort, died Monday, November 8, 2010. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Grady and Savannah Clark Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harl Plemmons. She was a member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters Doris Huntsinger of Old Fort, Barbara Pace of Leicester, Deanna Bell and her husband, Reggie, of Sevierville, TN, and Sheila Plemmons of Old Fort; six grandchildren, Dean Smith, Mark Smith, Eddie Smith, Donna Brewer, Christy Vess, and Michael Huntsinger; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters Wilma Golden of Leicester, Marie Bennett of Coats, NC, and Peggy Guthrie of Marshall; brothers Paul Jones of Asheville and Vernon Jones of Roanoke, VA. A graveside service for Mrs. Plemmons will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Family Cemetery, with the Rev. Tony Vess officiating.
