Clarine Bryan Lovingood, 86, of 19 Pine Lane, Asheville, died Friday, February 9, 2007, at Aston Park Health Care.
A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Alice Banks Bryan. She was the owner of C & V Florist and a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church where she was the former organist.
Mrs. Lovingood is survived by her husband, Noah Verdon Lovingood; two daughters, Phyllis Rich and husband Jerry of Asheville and Audrey Bruce of Greenville, SC; two sons, Virgil Smith and wife Carol of Hendersonville and Steve Smith and wife Linda of Asheville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Noon Wednesday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery chapel with the Rev. Tommy Bridges officiating.
The family will be at the homes of Verdon Lovingood or Phyllis Rich.

Ray and I were so sorry to hear of Clarine’s passing. She was such a sweet and special lady and a wonderful neighbor. Clarine and I spent lots of happy times visiting in her florist. May God bless you and yours during this sad time.
I am very sad to hear about Clarines Passing, and convey my sincere condolences to all the family. I lived beside her as a child, I have many good memories of her and the Lovingood family,my parents were Leonard and Zora Williams. Clarine was always very kind to me,She is in heaven now with no more pain or worries.
