Clifford Leon Fisher, 57, of 14 Reynolds Place, Asheville, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at the VA Medical Center.
Mr. Fisher was born in Buncombe COunty and was a son of the late Rufus Leon and Orla Mae Rhoads Fisher. He was an Army veteran and former security guard at Sayles Bilmtore Bleacheries.
He is survived by a sister, Linda Warren of Waynesville; an aunt, Florence Dickens of Barwick, GA; two nephews, Joey and Jeff Warren of Waynesville, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Carson Moseley officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery, Madison County.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
It is with deepest sympathy and prayer that God’s love will comfort you and your family in your time of sorrow. I did not know of Cliffords’ passing until Friday. I would have liked to have been there. He was always very kind and gentle and anytime I was around him he had a wonderful jolly smile on his face. That’s how I will always remember him. He will be missed.
