  1. I met Clyde at the NC State Fair and admired his work. I found out he was my 3rd cousin 1 time removed. He was amazing. Very sorry for your loss. Sheila Badger Beaudry, Pittsboro, NC.

  2. Mr. Badger and my grandfather, Bill Cartwright were good friends. I grew up around Mr.Badger and think dearly of him. My family and I send thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

  3. To Clyde Badger
The pain is here, The vacancy clear, Now you are gone, Whom I hold so dear.
The laughter we shared, The battles we fought, When I need you tomorrow, You will be naught.
I’ll search for a replacement, Someone like you. I fear what I’ll find For no substitute will do.
Now you’re just fine For at His celestial table you dine. But your place is empty When I dine at mine.
You’re all healed up, In pain no more. I celebrate your victory With a heart burdened and sore.
You gave me your time. You taught me what I needed to know. You did for me all you could Until it was time for you to go.
I do find strength In knowing I’ll see you again, My mentor, my pal, My marquetry friend.
    J.B. Simmons June 5, 2015
