Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. You will be missed dear Coley. Your warm smile and hearty laugh were contagious. See you again for our eternal class reunion.
    ❤️🙏🏼

  2. Ode to Coley.
The love of my life, left me one April evening. I imagined his beloved chimes, heralding my loss. All that I am left with are memories, no future to explore, no kisses returned, no hand to hold. My mind feels broken, my heart bettered and torn. Decades in coming together to create our paradise of love, gone in an instant, as if with the wind. Take hold of your lover, your friend, your Mother. Revel in Gratitude, hold fast, heart to heart. Record it in your eternity, for one morning, you or they, will wake up alone, without the other.

  3. We met Coley when we became neighbors two years ago. From the time we met him, we became friends, he embraced our family, and he and Donna came by and sat by our firepit from time to time and drank Scotch while our kids ran around. My 5yr old son and I would bring our tractor by to scrape his driveway, and Coley would tell me of the times he used to mow his lawn with his kids, and how precious those day were to him. He is such an awesome guy, and we are so sad to have lost him as a neighbor and friend.

  4. A huge hole is left in the hearts of those who loved Coley 😭 He will be greatly missed but so many.
Praying that Jesus give Carl and Virginia peace in this most difficult time💜

    • Donna and Ginny,
I have no words. I met him briefly that day and knew he was wonderful.
You’re both on my thoughts and prayers. I am here if you need me.

  5. Donna, Carl, Darrah, Landon, Virginia, and family,
Coley was a great friend and classmate of LCA 1980. I always enjoyed his smile, easy-going nature, and warm embrace. He will not be forgotten. Our LCA 1980 class shared pictures and memories of Coley tonight on Zoom. It was a special time. Our prayers are with you all.

  6. You will be missed Coley Sellars.
Our golf times, fantasy football rhetoric, and just sitting talking business. This is so sudden, reminds me to reach out to those I love. Stay connected. Rest in peace my friend.

  7. Coleys ready smile, his pleasant personality, and genuine friendship will be greatly missed. I look forward to seeing him again one day—-we will have lots of catching up! Praying Gods comfort and peace to each of you Virginia, Donna, Carl, Darrah, Landon and family. Know that you are loved.

  8. Buddy and Alice McBurnett ❤️, will truly love and miss you my Christian Brother , we’ll meet again when Jesus returns to take us all home ! 😇🥰😊

  9. Sadness is the overwhelming feeling we have right now. So many memories from our youth. Loved ones gone too soon. Get togethers that never happened because of our being too busy. Never miss an opportunity to spend time with friends and family. And tell them how much you love them. Our thoughts and prayers are with Coley’s family.

  10. So sorry for your loss. He was a great person and will be missed, especially on the golf course at Etowah. Sending your family all of our love and prayers during this difficult time.

  11. We are so sad to hear about Coley. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. His smile could light up a room, and we will certainly miss seeing him. We offer our deepest condolences as you learn to cope.

  12. Coley was a special soul, gone too soon. We met in 1981 at the start of the RT program at KCMA. After school we each went our separate ways. Years later Coley and I again met at Mission Hospital in Asheville NC. He still had that great smile and it was so good to see him again. My deepest condolences to his family and his Mother.
