Colleen Frances (McCreary) Saunders, 87, of Asheville, North Carolina, entered into eternal peace with our Lord Jesus on March 29, 2022.

Born June 15, 1934, in Grand Forks, ND, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Pearl McCreary, and the wife of the late Donald Saunders, who died in 2004. Colleen made her earthly transition, where she was loved and adored by residents and staff alike, from her second home, Silverbell Homestead, located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Colleen is survived by her son Mark Saunders and wife JoAnn of Minnesota; daughter Suzanne Wakefield and husband Jesse of Arden; son Todd Saunders and wife Gina of Cashiers; daughter Heather Lee and husband Bill of Fletcher; and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
