Connie Sue Ward Slack, 45, of Arden, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016. A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late James and Eleanor Brooks Ward. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Randall Charles Ward. She is survived by her husband, Brian Slack; two daughters, Briana Marie Slack and Cheryl Lavonne Slack; two grandchildren, Giavanna Marie Lordman and Hazel Pressley and one brother, Marty Ward. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Calvary Churchyard in Fletcher, officiated by Reverend Roger Rearden. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
