Cora Kathleen “Kate” Trivette Ball, 84, formerly of 95 Smith Graveyard Road, Asheville, died Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at the WNC Baptist Retirement Home. Mrs. Ball was born in Forsythe County and was a daughter of the late Leonord E. and Cora Johnson Trivette. She was married to the late Grady F. Ball and was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Jewell B. Rice of Asheville, Wanda B. Ingle of Leicester and Dianne B. Fryar of Asheville; one son, Dennis N. Ball of Asheville; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Claude Surrett officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and at other times will be at the home of the daughter, Jewel, at 251 Richmond Hill Drive.
