Cornelia A. Romanski Struck, 93, of Mills River died Monday, August 8, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Struck was born in Jamesport, Long Island to the late Stella R. and Joseph Anthony Romanski. She was a graduate of New Paltz State Teachers College in New Paltz, New York and enjoyed her many years as an elementary teacher in Darien, CT.
In addition to her parents, Cornelia was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Henry Struck who passed away in 2003; a son, Alexander Francis "Charlie" Struck and two sisters.
Mrs. Struck is survived by her son, Russell Struck and his wife Pat of New Jersey; a granddaughter, Denise Perez and her husband, David, of New Jersey; a grandson, James Rider and his wife, Orly Shacham of Somerville, MA and four great grandchildren, Matthew and Tyler Perez of New Jersey and Leore and Maayan Shacham-Rider of Somerville, MA.
An open house will be held from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the residence. Please call Groce Home at Lake Julian (828) 687-3530 for directions.

We all loved Connie, Alex and Charlie. Our lives were enriched knowing them and spending many years as their friends. Glad they are together again.
As a sister of DKG in the Alpha Phi chapter….Godspeed and love to all. Connie will be missed.
Connie, You were my mountain grandma. Thank you for being in my life. I will miss all our great times together. I’ll always love you. 🙂
