Cornelia Stanley Gillespie, 90, died Friday, May 16, 2014.
Mrs. Gillespie was born in Madison County and was a daughter of the late Lattie and May Bradford Stanley. She worked for Drexel and Ethan Allen Furniture manufacturers and more recently at Wendy's.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis G. Gillespie; daughter Brenda Clemmons (Bobby); sons, David Gillespie (Cindy) and Wade Gillespie (Sandy); a brother, Wade Stanley (Pauline); nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Matthew Sams and Ronnie Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
