Cristina Sanchez Myers

Cristina (Sanchez) Myers, 85, of Fairview, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in her residence.

Born in Veracruz, Mexico, she was the wife of the late Rufus Michael Myers and the daughter of the late Rafael Sanchez Delfin and Encarnacion Sanchez Lugo. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Rafael Sanchez, and a sister, Margarita De Mora.

Cristina owned Sunset Hill Beauty Salon in Etowah for 10 years, and worked in the cosmetology field for 25 years. An excellent cook with a green thumb, she enjoyed sewing and caring for her indoor plants. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cared for her grandchildren deeply.

She is survived by two daughters: Robin Reece and her husband Scot of Old Fort and Tammy Myers Blevins of Fairview; three grandchildren: Samantha Reece, Ryan Blevins, and David Reece; and a number of half-brothers and half-sisters.

Friends will be received at her residence in Fairview from 1 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, December 12, 2021.
