My Dad, Joe Cole, Jr., of Leicester and Clyde Cole, Cura’s Dad, were cousins. They did a lot of work together when I was growing up. On behalf of my family, please accept our condolences.
To the family of Cura,
What a special lady she was……..this past winter we got to be even better friends. She was such a joy to be around, always helping others!
All this past Fall and Winter she attended weekly meetings to help make blankets for children through the Linus Project. She attended the Snow Hill United Methodist Women’s meeting in February and as recent as March, she prepared food for a church luncheon two days before she entered the hospital.
Whether it was working in her garden, volunteering at ABCCM or helping to make blankets for Project Linus, her hands were never idle. We admired her and will truly miss her smiling face. This world is a better place because of her dedication to the causes that she believed in.
Our Love and Prayers,
Karen and Richard
Good bye Cura, we’ll miss you.
Our loss is Heavens gain. Cura will be sadly missed. She was a special lady to all who knew her.
…for the Lord shall be thine
everlasting light, and the days
of thy mourning shall be ended.
Isaiah 60:20
May you remember always
that, for every sorrow,
there is comfort…
for every sadness,
there is healing…
for each loss–
the promise of new life.
With Sympathy,
Nancy Wright Sluder and family
We were saddened to learn of Cura’s death. She was a sweet friend and cousin. I wish we had kept in better touch.
Aunt Cura could make some mean egg sandwiches. I always think of her when I make them for my boys.
