Daisy Ledbetter Warren, 79, of 1 Doe Run Road, Candler, died Thursday, August 17, 2006, at her home.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Nelson David and Rhoda King Ledbetter. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Dorothy Gillespie, Doshia King, Demia Austin, Derleen Ledbetter, Dan Ledbetter and David Ledbetter. She was retired from Felmon Process and was a member of Beaverdam FWB Church.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ralph Lee Warren; a daughter, Susan Rogers and husband David of Candler; four sons, David Warren and wife Jeannean, Eddie Warren and wife Brenda, Roger Warren and wife Brenda and Stephen Warren and wife Annette, all of Candler; sisters, Dessie Gillespie and Doris Justice of Leicester, Doxie Giles of Detroit and Delia Clark of Thomasville; a brother, Don Ledbetter of Thomasville; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Sunday at Beaverdam FWB Church with the Revs. Willard Pruitt and Terry Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Roger Dale Warren, Jr, Lee McCarson, William Warren, Josh Phillips, Buddy Allen and Nathan Arrowood serving as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 pm Sunday at the church prior to the service.

I am sorry to hear about the very loved Daisy. I had known Daisy for about 16 years, and she was always a warm welcome and always smiling.
I am going to miss her greatly.

Ralph, David and family, I am so sorry to hear about Daisy. What a ‘Precious, ‘Precious Friend. Always so kind and thoughtful that was Daisy. Sorry to here about Daisy. She was always in my life.She was like a mother to everyone of us.Everytime you went to her house she offered you a cup of coffeeor a glass of sweet tea.If she had supper ready you were always asked if you wanted a plate.Daisy never failed to have a pot of Pinto Beans and Ralphs cornbread.She will be greatly missed.My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family.
