Dan Wayne Shepard, 41, of 277 Rock Hill Road, Asheville, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at his residence.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of James W. Shepard and the late Ethel Medey.
In addition to his father, Mr. Shepard is survived by two brothers, David Paul Shepard, Sr and wife Dianne of Weaverville and Michael Shepard of Asheville; thirteen nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday at the home, 277 Rock Hill Road, Asheville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help the family with funeral expenses may be made to the funeral home.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Dan was a constance at our house to play with my son Bruce, on the Biltmore Estate in the 70s. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
