Daniel Richard Boone, 70, of Averys Creek, passed away Thursday February 13th, surrounded by his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will always be remembered for his steadfast willingness to help others.

Danny was the son of William Paul Boone, Sr. He was born on April 8, 1954 in Asheville, NC.

In July 1973 he married Danna, his devoted wife for 51 years. In 1982, Danny opened Boone’s Corner in Averys Creek. Through hard work and dedication, his business would later be coined “the hub of Avery’s Creek”. Danny retired 40 years later, but continued to enjoy spending time at the store with his friends and community.
