Daniel Pierre Robert, 86, of Asheville, NC passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. He was born in Roanne, France to Jean Robert and Germaine Petit-Jean who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Inge Robert; two sons, Pascal Robert of Asheville and Christian Robert (Mindy) of Utah; a daughter, Natalie Robert (Tracy Knight) of Maryland; and five grandchildren, Ellie, Thomas, Ian, Alex and Noah.
Mr. Robert served in the French Military. He was a long-time small business owner in Asheville and will be missed by his family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be planned and announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers and gifts Daniel and his family would appreciate donations to Meals on Wheels or the NC Arboretum in Asheville.

Mr. Robert, would light up the lobby every time he came to Meals on Wheels to deliver for his route. All the ladies would come out to greet him and have small talk. He was just a joy to be around.
The day he came in my office to let me know he would be giving up his route was very sad for the both of us because he was not just a volunteer but my friend.
