  1. Janie, Carson, and Guzzo Family,

My most heartfelt condolences to you all.

It was an honor to work with Dan. He was intelligent, hard-working and meticulous. Everyone in the office learned something from him.

I especially loved his dry sense of humor and quirky personality. He was fond of talking smack during Fantasy Football season. If you wanted to goad him, pull for any team playing against the Steelers. Lord, he loved those Steelers! That smack talking got even worse at his annual Super Bowl parties.

I love Dan like a brother and will sorely miss him, his mentorship and even his football antics!

    With love and prayer,
    Courtney M

  2. That beautiful smile and Dan’s happy spirit at our family get togethers I will always remember. Love you Janie and Carson. My prayers are with you and those of my church also. May you feel surrounded by our Lords love. Love you dearly,Cheryl

  3. We are shocked and saddened to hear of Dan’s passing Our hearts are broken. Although we are in different states we never forgot each of you Our sincere condolences to all, Janie, Carson, and Bailey. You are in our prayers. Zelda, Tony, Emily Guerrero, Mission, Tx

  4. I am glad to have known Dan. I continue to think about you and Carson every day and will always. Please let me help in any way I can.

  5. Today is a sad day for the McAllen District Office in McAllen, Texas. My heart goes out to the Family, especially his wife, Jane, son Carson and daughter Bailey. My sincere and deepest condolences. May the Good Lord uplift you and give you strength to you and to your family in these difficult days. As I can remember when Dan and his Family transferred from McAllen to Ashville to be closer to family, it was the best decision he made, and now all we have are beautiful and precious memories to look back and celebrate Dan’s beautiful life. ‘Be Strong and Courageous ‘? Do not be Afraid or Teriffied’ Dueteronomy 31:6-8

  6. Today you are constantly on our hearts and minds as we pray the Lord will comfort and strengthen you as you mourn the loss of your loving husband, caring father, loving son, along with the many friends who were blessed with the friendship of Dan. Our hearts are aching with yours at the passing of one so young. Yet we can rejoice in the hope we have Jesus, that Dan is in the arms of his savior as promised in Ephesians 5:1’For we know that when this tent we live in-our body here on earth-is torn down, God will have a house in heaven for us to live in, a home He Himself has made, which will LAST FOREVER.’ Sending our love and prayers.

  7. met him once, in Landrum SC in Spring of 2001 he was very kind He had taken myself and 2 sons and my former husband Greg Sarratt (Janies brother) to have Sunday Super with them along with Janies Aunt Kathy and Husband and daughters, Greg and i had just reunited after 8 year abandonment of our boys and I. upon leaving the restaurant, Janie and i spoke briefly while waiting for the others to exit I felt a gentle kiss upon the top on head, I felt humbled because he saw something good about my heart because just like him i cared about having a loving family and i am a christian, that day this decent Christ like man bestowed a brothers love to me. may the lord comfort and protect all that he loved and his soul be at peace. Donna
