Danny Lee Boone, 41, of Arden, died August 27, 2000 at Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Center.

A native of Arlington, Virginia, he was a son of Dalton and Gloria Godwin Boone of Arden. He was the Assistant Executive Director of Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Home and was a member of Arden First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Networks and Couples in Christ Sunday School class. He also served as an RA leader.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Melonie Tyner Boone; a brother, Glenn Boone and his wife Dawn and a nephew, Jackson Boone of Wake Forest.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Blue Ridge Room at Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Center with the Revs. Stephen Summers, Morgan Gardner and Gary Farmer officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard in Fletcher.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.

Memorials may be made to Arden First Baptist Church Building Fund, 3839 Sweeten Creek Road, Arden, N.C. 28704.
