Darlene Bell Peterson, 84, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Peterson, and by her son, R. J. Peterson.
Mrs. Peterson retired from Wachovia Bank.
She is survived by her son, W.R. Peterson and his wife, Jane.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery.

I worked with Darlene at Hayes & Lunsford, she was such a sweet lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Darlene was a very special person to all of us at Hayes and Lunsford. She was a devoted worker who never missed a day even with her disability she made sure she was there to take care of things. She will be missed by all of us. May Darlene rest in peace. Our prayers and thoughts are with her family. If we can do anything for you please let us know. She was a part of us.
Darlene was working as a personal banker for Wachovia when I was first employed by the company. She was beloved by her colleagues as well as her many customers. My condolences to her loved ones, family and friends alike.
