  27. No words will or could express the heart ache, devastation, and loss to not only to Daryls family but to all of us who knew him. Nothing ever prepares us EVER to lose our loved ones. The only thing that gives me any peace and comfort and I pray it does for Ms. Barbara, Davey and all Daryls immediate family is the comfort and peace and reassurance that we showed him friendship and love. And that us too will see him again ,along with all those gone on before us. Its like a sick, twisted dream we all want to wake up from but unfortunately its our reality. I ask God to send his mighty comforter to his mother and his immediate family and to all of us , his extended family. Glad even though he never told me back that night at The Social , im just so so thankful I told them both “I LOVE YOU” . My love and prayers are with Ms. Barbara, Davey, his son , grandson and his family.

  28. Barbara and Family: I am so sorry to hear of Daryl’s passing. May God comfort each of you and give you peace. Cherish the sweet memories until you meet again.

There wasn’t a time we ever crossed paths that he didn’t hug me as a greeting and also as we departed, thanks for the kind acceptance you gave me. 42. Although I’ve never you, Ms. Smart, everyone that has ever met one of those Smart boys knows that they were “raised right”. It shows in their smiles. It’s heard in their laughter. It’s felt in the compassion they show to others. Daryl truly was a man that lived by the Golden Rule and it showed. I can’t imagine the sorrow you are feeling during this separation but, until you are reunited with him, know that you have done a wonderful job with those boys! You have a tremendous number of people that are keeping all of you close in thought and heavy in prayer during this most difficult time, and I hope the outpouring of love and support is felt now and for endless days to come.

  43. Dear Barbara and the Entire Family, I am so, so sorry for the loss of Daryl. I won’t be able to attend the service but all of you are in my thoughts. I am praying for all of you. May God give you comfort during this difficult time.

  44. Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to the entire Smart family. There are no words any of us can say to help ease your pain but know that you are very loved. Asking God to hold you close until you can stand on your again. Love Bryan and Diane Clay
