David Clifton Beaver, 71, of Asheville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. A native of Yancey Co. and resident of Asheville most of his life, he was a son of the late Jobe and Hulda Robinson Beaver. Mr. Beaver was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., serving over six years. He worked as a shipping supervisor for Milkco. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Swanger Beaver; a daughter, Melody Isaacs; sons Greg Beaver, Aaron Murdock, David Beaver II, and Chad Beaver; five grandsons and two granddaughters; sisters Nettie Edwards and Magolene Sanders; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Wes Austin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.
