David Edward Lefler, 54, of 38 Main Street, Asheville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 11, 2003. Mr. Lefler was born in Oceana, WV and was a son of Nadean Lambert Lefler of Asheville and the late Roy Lefler. He was an Air Force veteran and was a member of Reynolds Baptist Church. He was a self-employed car dealer. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Donna Gail Fox Lefler; one daughter Suzan Coviak and her husband Mike of Leicester; a sister Linda Adams and her husband Gene of Flat Gap, KY; one niece, one nephew and one great-niece. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Cecil Fox and Barry Fisher officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

  8. We share in your loss. David was a friend to all he met. He has helped me and my family many times. I will never forget the times we spent together talking and sharing our memories. He loved his family very much and mentioned you all often. David was always willing to give of himself and share his talents. We will miss him greatly. We have been blest to have know him.   10. I work with Angel Food, and David came regularly. He was a quiet, courteous, and honorable man. Gateway will be holding the family up in our prayers.

    I went to Reynolds High School with David and Linda and always liked them both a lot. Although I wasn’t really close to David over the years, I kind of kept in touch through mutual friends.
    I heard about David from Ed Gibson.

  15. There has never been anyone I considered more of a friend than I did David. His friendship has been very important to me over the years. I will miss him dearly – but look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. I can see him now visiting with Cammy and his father in Heaven. Sorry for your loss. David
