  1. The Passing of a Friend (in Memory of David Stanley, March 2003)
Although one is never ready to hear that a dear friend of many years has passed on, it is that sudden sense of sorrow that teaches how important someone was to you. For many years I and others have sought out David during trying times of our lives because we knew of his wisdom and encouragement that he could provide. As a result, many of us that knew him can probably give Dave credit to the most rewarding part of our current lives of which he showed us the path. He was a friend to those who needed friends and a teacher to those who wanted to become better.
It is his keen sense of a path to happiness that is probably how he will be remembered most. His desire and drive to accomplish as much as possible in his lifetime was uplifting. I was able to witness his passion for music, art, humour, computers, and fellowship whether creating it in himself or enjoying other people’s works, which inspired me to have the same multifaceted approach to life.
Even after this day of grievance it might seem to come to an end to this fountain of life, but the lessons he has taught us will remain inside forever.
David is still alive in our hearts,
    Guthrie ‘Gunter’ Cooper

I can hardly remember a time that I didn’t know him. My heart goes out to his family..brothers and sisters that I shared, growing up,his dear Mother who loved the neighborhood children and put up with us through so much. My prayers are with you.
