David Jeffrey Murray

     David Jeffrey Murray, 35, of
110 Celtic Drive, Waynesville, died
Sunday, November 22, 1998, in a
Haywood County hospital.

     Mr. Murray was born in
Buncombe County and was a
graduate of Asheville High School.
He was an Air Force veteran and
was employed by  H.T. Hackney Co.

     He is survived by his wife,
Brenda Stephens Murray;  his
mother and step-father, Sandra
Pruette Scarborough and Willis
Scarborough of Wiggins, MS;  his
father, David Murray of Charleston,
SC;  his maternal grandmother,
Lottie Pruette of Asheville;  his
paternal grandmother, Nell Murray
of Candler;  an aunt Mary K. Pruette
of Asheville;  a step-brother, Tommy
Scarborough of Waynesville;  and
his former step-father, Sonny Walls
of Candler.

     Graveside services will be at
11:00 am Wednesday at Green Hills
Cemetery with the Rev. Charles
Sprinkle officiating.

     His family will receive friends
from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at Groce
Funeral Home.
