Dessie Stewart Jones, 89, of 311 Summit Street, died Thursday, December 3, 2009.
Mrs. Jones was a Buncombe County native and was a daughter of the late Edward and Lottie Lee Miller Stewart. She was a former seamstress with Glendale Mfg. Co., and she attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Ramona Jones of the home and a sister, Pauline Wise of Durrant, OK.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Mack White officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

Romona. My Family and I are so sorry to hear about our Aunt Desi passing away. I am the daughter of Pauline Wise. You also have cousin Judy and James here in Ok. and a cousin Mary in Utah. We have not seen you in years, but, we have thought of you both often.
