Devon Aaron Forester, 23, of Leicester, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015.
Devon was born December 23, 1991 in Asheville. He taught himself to speak the Japanese language, and was fascinated by Japanese culture. He taught himself to play practically all stringed instruments. He was a genius with computers, especially designing computer games. He also loved animals, especially birds.
Devon is survived by his mother, Amy Brigman Mathis; step-father, James Mathis; sister, Madison Mathis; maternal grandmother, Patricia DeBruhl; uncle, Kenneth Brigman; cousins, Kristofer Kimbley, T. J. Kimbley, and Dalton Brigman; several great aunts and uncles, and numerous other cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Angela Brigman Kimbley.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Ave.
