Dewey Lee Etherton, 73, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born in Hot Springs, Mr. Etherton was a son of the late Thomas Richard and Mary Elizabeth Francis Etherton. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Enice, Pauline, Wilma and June, and brothers, Lester, Guy, Abe, Arlie, Den and Jim.
He was retired after 35 years with Taylor Instrument/Welch Allyn.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn Jones Etherton; daughter, Tammie Stoss; granddaughter, Marilyn Stoss; great-grandson, Gavin Stoss; sisters, Grace Caldwell and Christine Harrison (Sidney); brother, Honley "Bun" Etherton (Alma); special niece, Susie Edwards and special nephews, Tommy Caldwell and the late Ricky Caldwell.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Wingard officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hot Springs.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Lynn and Tammie, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I still have many fond memories of Dewey and your family from my years at Gardner Webb with Tammie and coming to visit your home in Leicester. I will be praying for you and your family during this time.
