Dominick Andrew Minotti Sr.

Dominick Andrew Minotti Sr. passed away on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at 2:44 pm in his home in Asheville, North Carolina. Sherrill, his loving wife of 69 years, and his family were by his side. He had bravely battled cancer for six and a half years.

He was born to Louise and Joseph Minotti on February 9th, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Jesuit High School in Kansas City Missouri. His family moved to Tampa, Florida in 1954. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in public relations and advertising in 1957. Go Gators!

He retired from the Bank of Tampa, after a successful career in banking. He was a devout Catholic and longstanding member of the People of Praise, a covenant Christian community.

He is survived by his wife Sherrill Anne, five children, Stephanie, Dominick Jr., his wife Wana, Scott, his wife Bridget,
Niyaso, Lisa, and her husband Martin, as well as eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and his sister Cristine.

Dom was known by all for his deep love of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.

He was a gentle, loving person that always found the time to listen and encourage. He led by example and was a true beacon of light to all around him.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Basilica of Saint Lawrence in Asheville, North Carolina on July 14th, 2023 at 3:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society may be made on his behalf.
