Donald Bandy Wise, 80, of Candler, died on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at his residence.

A lifelong resident of Candler, Mr. Wise was a son of the late Luther and Addie Morgan Wise.

Mr. Wise was an avid golfer, fisherman, played softball, and enjoyed square dancing. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir.

Surviving are his wife, Robin Russell Wise; son, Todd Wise (Julie); daughter, Elizabeth Wise (Robbie); grandchildren, Lauren and Devan Wise, and Camille and Brooklyn Robinson; great-grandchildren, Brock Vance and Grayson Cornu; brothers, Franklin Wise (Barbara) and Charles Wise (Carole); and sister, Shirley Boydston.

Mr. Wise’s family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 22, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. A private service for the family will follow at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
