You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Sandie,
I am so sorry for your loss. I think of your stories about the fun times your father arranged for all the family on ‘your’ mountain in NC. You have many special memories to cheer you those times when you feel the loss of you Father. He will be watching over you from his place in Heaven.

Laurie
Sandie…
I am so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. It’s always so difficult when a loved one passes but at least we can always cherish the fond memories that will last a lifetime. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Always,
Cheryl
Dear Sandie,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your father. It is difficult to let go of those we love. I hope you will be comforted by your many good memories and God’s love.
Sandie, I was saddened to hear about your father. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You spoke so often of your father and I know you have wonderful memories. We miss you!
I am an Episcopal priest who lives at Givens. Don was a regular attendee at the Episcopal gathering we had monthly. He always came with Ned. I wanted to come and tell you personally how fond I was of him, but was out of town on the day of his funeral. I miss him terribly. My husband was at the health care center with him and admired him as well. His death is a loss for all of us but a gain for him and his wife whom he continued to talk about. May he enjoy his eternity with the Lord. I know he continues to intercede for you. My love and sympathy is with you.
I didn’t take Colonel McLennan’s class, but I do remember him with much respect. Please accept my condolences.
Regards, Bruce Rogers

Col. McLellan was my geometry teacher at The Asheville School in 1969-70. I remember him as a patient and methodical teacher, dealing with an impatient and unmethodical student. My sincere condolences to the McLennan family on your loss.
Grandad was a role model for all of us. We all have a standard to live up to in his example. He gave so much to his family, community and the United States. His memory will live with me forever.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you celebrate your dad’s wonderful life and reminise about all your memories of him. Hold them close to your heart.
Don was a wonderful role model and teacher. I regret very much having lost connections with him in recent years.
I am so deeply saddened by the loss of Col. McLennan. He was such a kind a noble man whom I respected and joked with every 6 months for the past 7 years. As his Dental Hygienist I admired his excellent homecare, and as a friend I appreciated his interest in my children and family. I cried this morning when I heard the news. I can hear his distinct voice in my head now. I am very sorry for his family, as they have lost a very important man of history. I am sad for myself to not have him to come on Valentines Day and in the fall any longer to have his teeth cleaned and to talk.
I met Don three years ago when I moved to Givens Estates and began attending Calvary Church. Don joined us for a blessing of our home. I always enjoyed seeing Don. He had a welcoming smile and a twinkle in his eye. He focused on the present and its possibilities, always in a positive way. I was astounded when I read in the obituary of Don’s many accomplishments. Humility was certainly another of his gifts. Don was a wonderful model of how to age gracefully and continue to stay involved in life. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to know him, even in a small way.
