  1. Knowing that Don is now at peace brings comfort during this difficult time. What an awesome family he has! The love and strength each has shown during this time is an example for all.
    Love and comfort, dear ones.

  2. So sad about Uncle Don. What a character he was – ya never hadda wonder what he was thinking – he’d let ya know – and in very flowerly language to boot! 🙂

Thank God that he had his family with him to help him on his final journey. What a blessing. I send to all of you my deepest condolences and my love.

  3. So sorry for your loss. Donald was a great friend of the family, especialy to our mom and step father, Pat & Vinnie Weiss who knew Don from Queens and reconected in Florida. We spent many happy times with him and will have a Rob Roy this weekend in his honor. He taught my oldest son how to jig and to fish. He truely will be missed! 6. Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to you all. Don was one of a kind & you just had to love him. I enjoyed the fishing trips with him over the years & he taught this old Florida native some new tricks. He was one of the most giving persons I have ever met. God rest his soul.

  7. I am so sorry to find out about my childhood friend’s passing. As a youngster, he was my best buddy growing up on 221st in Queens Village. We had lots of fun together when we were in grammar school at St Joachim and Anne’s. I remember his parents and both his brothers, George and ‘Ducker.’ May he rest in peace.
