Donald Mark Riddle, 46, of 48 Crabapple Circle, Hendersonville, died Monday, January 30, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital.
Mr. Riddle was born in Waco, TX, and was a son of the late Ray Riddle and Sue Cart Riddle. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Alan Riddle. He was employed as a Quality Assurance Technician with Tyco Electronics.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Bartlett “Patty” Riddle; one daughter, Lauren Elise Riddle, and one son, Stephen Mark Riddle, both of the home; his step-mother, Virginia Riddle, and a brother, Tim Riddle and his wife, Leah, of Weaverville.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Wade Zachary and Frank Hawley officiating.
His family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mark Riddle Memorial Fund, c/o Patricia Riddle at Asheville Savings Bank 10 S. Tunnel Rd. Asheville, NC 28805.
Tim, I am so terribly sorry to hear about your brother. I just want you to know and Patty and the children also, that I hold you all close in prayer. Remeber God is a God of compassion and strength, rely on Him and he will see you through.

I was saddened to learn of Mark’s passing. As a friend of both Mark and his brother Tim from those long-ago high school days and as a frequent visitor to his parents’ home in Black Mountain, I can attest that Mark truly was one of the good guys. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mark was a wonderful man: I enjoyed working with him, and was blessed to be in his presence. He had a strength of character that is uncommon in this day and age.
