Dear Painter Family,
We are so sorry for your loss of Donna. She was such a special lady, classy, caring, loving and most of all a Godly woman–a true Titus woman. We have been blessed to have known her and will miss her. We love you guys!
As much as I would like to, complications in my own immediate family prevent me from paying my respects in person. I am with you all in sorrow and in spirit–and in the belief that Donna has passed on to another, better world. I hope and trust that knowledge will help all find peace.
Ladd, it was such a privilege to be in the dining room when you came to speak on Donna’s behalf just before her service. We loved her, and we love you. As Eddie said in the service, indicating the kind of husband you were during her death and dying, ‘Well done!’ I am here for you in any way I can be helpful.
Ladd and family,
We were so sorry to hear today of Donna’s death. I’m so grateful I had the chance to see her and touch base again during a Senior Adults outing with my parents last summer. Watching how much the seniors thought of her and her work, and the loving way she dealt with them speaks volumes for the kindhearted person she was. Our deepest condolences to you and your family.
Ladd,
Sorry to hear about Donna. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Dear Ladd, Noel, Paul, Alan and family,
I was so very sorry to hear of Donna’s passing yesterday. She was a strong and gracious woman. Though it has been 10 years since I left Asheville, I have fond memories of your family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Ever since I moved to Asheville 20 years ago, Donna has been in the picture. From having children in the same school, to being at the dentist, to making music in the church, hers has always been that smiling face. My deepest sympathy for Ladd and all the family.
Ladd and family:
Donna’s life was far too short, but the blessings she bestowed on others were great. Our lives are far better because of her. We wish we could be with you, but you have all of our prayers.
Dear Ladd and family,
My sincere sympathy to all of you during this time of loss of Donna.
She was a very important person to so many of us. She showed us real courage in her fight with cancer. But her sincerity when she would tell us she understood and take time to talk to us in a personal way made her friendship more special. She always made me feel as if I were talking to my best friend, who was concerned with my issues. I had the utmost respect for her, and she will be sorely missed. I send my thoughts and prayers to all of you.
Sincerely,
Myra Ramsey
Dear Ladd and family,

Dear Painter Family,
I was shocked and saddened to read of Donna’s death in the paper today. I attended Asheville City Schools with Noel and Paul, graduated from Furman, and attended Western with Donna. I had not seen Donna in several years and did not know she was sick. Donna was a beautiful woman with a generous, serene, and kind spirit. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Ladd,
Donna was special to me, as she was to so many, and I’m so sorry for your loss. Her presence in so many ministries will be missed and things won’t be quite the same without her quiet, gentle spirit. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Our family would like to express our sincere condolences to all of Donna’s family. She was a lovely, thoughtful lady who brightened the lives of so many seniors (including my mother and father, Richard and Marie Nailling) at First Baptist Church. She will be missed and grieved by many who benefited from her loving support.
Dear Ladd & Family;
We grieve with you in the loss of Donna. We remember when you moved to Asheville, our shared singing in the choir and our other work together at FBC. In later years, Donna has been a wonderful and caring minister to older adults – including us.We send our heart-felt condolences and our love. Frances and Jess Chapman
